October 2008

We can't believe that it is already November!! Time in Beaufort is flying by for us. The last two months we have been keeping busy. In September we entertained a KC friend, Hilary, which was a blast! (we are still anxiously awaiting for ya'all to come and visit, so get over here already!!) In October, we kept entertained by attending the Navy Ball and the Botar Ball. We had a wonderful visit to KC and it was great seeing everyone. We also squeezed in some time to practice our sushi making skills!!!

We rented a beach house in Kitty Hawk, NC with the DC crew over the weekend and had a great time!!! 1.) We apologize for not getting more posts and photos up...it has already been a month since our last post. Anyway...In the past month we have made it to Hilton Head Island and Savannah (no charleston yet, but next weekend maybe). Both are nice, but we prefer the beach at Hunting Island State Park which is actually closer anyway (It should be noted that Mike bought us a year pass and we have already gotten out money's worth!!). Water is warm, waves are not too strong...very relaxing. We love downtown and we seem to find a new shop or restaurant every time we go. The Nicholson's came for a visit. We all had a wonderful time...great food, lots of beer/wine/sun/etc. Hope you all are well. Always remember, you are all welcome whenever your time allows. We have plans to be back for a quick visit in mid October and then at Thanksgiving.
