Ichi Gatsu ni-sen toh ju-ichi (January 2011)

We hope that we can promise you all this will be the shortest post of the year. The trip home last month certainly took alot out of us...it was easily mid month before we were 'feeling well' again from the jet lag and a wonderful virus Ellie brought home with her.

All we have are a few photos of Ellie.

Below Ellie and Katie are enjoying a sushi-go-round.
Further below Ellie is playing with her new kitchen and doing one of her favorite things...helping out in the 'real kitchen'.

Ellie has also learned the joys of the park...slides and swings are her favorites!

We hope February brings a few more updates from Okinawa!

Ju Ni Gatsu

Konnichiwa! Hello again! Of course the news to report about December was our trip to KC for Christmas...all photos are from that trip. We had a wonderful time. Ellie got to see snow for the first time. We were able to welcome Kate into the family and we are so glad to have had the opportunity to see everyone 'back home'.

The night we arrived Kate Louise Schilling decided it was time to see the world. The following day we went to the hospital for a visit.
Below Papa is introducing Ellie to her new cousin Kate
It was so much fun for to see Ellie with her cousins...bath time was fun for everyone!
Below is the Sirridge clan sans 2010...great photo!

Above Ellie gets to see snow fall for the first time.

Below Grant and Drew are teaching Ellie the finer points of shapes and colors.
Below, Ellie and Claire and playing with their babies...inconsequently they are playing in a huge box that a piece of furniture arrived in that same day...I think we all remember how much fun a big box can be!
Below is Ellie sharing an apple fritter with Great Grandma Sirridge.
Christmas eve...
Below are Claire, Brooke and Ellie with their Christmas chairs that Mam gave them...they are more interested in who gets the last goldfish though.
Granny had strategically placed ornaments the girls could play with...and it didn't take long for them to figure this out!
Below is Christmas morning with Papa, Brooke and Ellie!
Below is Great Grandpa Duensing with Kate Schilling.
The entire Duensing clan Christmas morning 2010...times change fast!
Here Grant and Drew are showing Ellie how to dance like the King of Pop.
I thought Grant about 'tickle attacks' and he was obliged to teach Ellie the same.
Katie turns the big 30 at Christmas dinner at the Sirridge's
Three days later Brooke Marshall turned the big 1!!

Finally we leave you with the three girls cramming onto one chair.

Until next time!
